DIAMOND HEAD Pulls Out Of Holland's DOKK'EM Open-Air Festival
August 9, 2008NWOBHM legends DIAMOND HEAD have cancelled their appearance at the Dokk'em open-air festival, which is taking place today (Saturday,August 9) in Raard (near Leeuwarden),Netherlands. "Unfortunately, after the gig at York, Nick [Tart, vocals] came down with laryngitis," reads a posting on the band's web site. "Nick is totally gutted about this and the the band were all looking forward to these dates. Hopefully, Nick will have made a full recovery in time for the London and Bilston shows later this month."

On May 7, Geffen released a two-album DIAMOND HEAD cardboard sleeve reissue series in Japan featuring the following LPs:
* "Borrowed Time" (1982)
* "Canterbury" (1983)
Each cardboard sleeve reissue features a high-quality SHM-CD disc (playable on standard CD players).
"Skin on Skin", the new video from DIAMOND HEAD, can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's new album, "What's In Your Head?", which was released on July 30 2007. The CD was previously described by the band as "a powerful but varied collection of songs." The album includes the song "Reign Supreme", which is said to be "the heaviest track DIAMOND HEAD have recorded since 'Am I Evil?'"
DIAMOND HEAD last year supported THIN LIZZY on 14 dates of their UK tour.
